The pandemic has introduced a revolutionary period in the world of the HR industry. The new module of work includes a complete remote mode of functioning which requires evaluated tools. The future has a ton of amendments that have the potential to change the face of the HR industry in India.

Let’s take a look at the upcoming factors that are going to play a major role in moulding the future of HR software:

The virtual set-up

Let’s acknowledge the fact that the virtual world of work is here to stay. The complete remote module of work has been here since the first wave of covid-19. The shift from office cubicle to couch has led to demolish the traditional mode of working. The shift has been towards a more flexible work centric mode with an enhanced gig economy. There are organizations like Twitter and Microsoft that have considered permanently shifting to a remote mode of work. Increase in digital investment

With the remote module of functioning came an ascending curve of increasing investment in the tech world. Organizations functioning in various sectors faced challenges in establishing a complete remote mode. The only way to align a seamless function is by relying on the digital world. This is when the investment curve ascended. The new world of work ensures that digital investment will increase in the upcoming years.

There is data collected by various surveys that states that more than 70 % of the CEOs will build their onset based on communication tools.

Deloitte has introduced platforms for digital collaborations.

Team play

There is an old saying, “ Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.” any organization survives and thrives on any challenge if employees work as a team. Even in the time of crises such as the pandemic, organizations that functioned as a team stepping in each other’s shoes to support in unfortunate circumstances. For instance, the HR team stepped up to fill in IT shoes in certain cases to continue work and lead towards the betterment of the organization. However, creating a virtual team is not an easy task. As stated by Steve Cates,

“The concept and creation of virtual teams that goes along with virtual work will become a huge issue moving into 2021,”

The virtual team consists of members who have been binded together on a digital platform. This can create a ruckus as the employees may or may not be comfortable with such an approach. This is why it becomes essential to create a culture that celebrates growth, adaptability and resilience. Implementing new technologies will elevate the facilities but it can offer better results only if the entire team works as a unit.

New EMSI research shows that even for essential workers, over the last two years there was a 40% increase in the share of postings offering on-the-job training. You will need to hire for fit and capability, then train people as they arrive. (A 330% increase in supply chain jobs that require no experience at all.)

Having said that, technological advancements such as HR software have been constantly innovating tools to cater any mode of work such as hybrid or remote. It can be said that the upcoming generation has set their pillars on the technological world to mold the future.
